MOW. RAKE. TAKE

The Better Way

MOW - Use your lawnmower to chop leaves and re-incorporate them back to your lawn 

 

RAKE - Rake leaves into your garden beds where they will decompose becoming humus


TAKE -If leaves must go. Take them to the NEW LEAF RECYCLING SITE

Other options include:

  • Entertainment for chickens

  • Outdoor animal bedding

  • Insulation for outdoor animal shelters (bagged leaves)

at the corner of 5th Street and Rt 136

Volunteers with the LFSNF Project will recycle your loose and bagged leaves.

 

Also recycling:

  • Empty plastic nursery pots 

  • Decorative pumpkins, winter squash and gourds

Leaf Bags for Recycling Pickup
Dates & Time

 

Volunteers will help residents unable to drop off leaf bags. 

Those bags will be picked up on the following dates and times 

  • October 23 from 2-4 pm

  • October 30 from 2- 4 pm

  • November 6 from 2-4 pm

  • November 13 from 2-4 pm

  • December 4 from 2-4 pm

Have bags ready before 2 pm

No pick up if its raining

Leaves not in bags will not be picked up
